Yorkshire Remembered – From Coast to Country

1 in stock

Looks at two very different aspects of life in Yorkshire. For many years, farming and fishing dominated the lives and economies of these communities but what we see now is very different from the early days of the last century and in many cases all that remains are memories. Highlights include early black and white footage showing egg collectors on the cliffs near Flamborough in 1908, Hull’s busy fish docks at the height of the industry in the early 1960s, remarkable amateur footage of life in the Yorkshire Dales and scenes from the Great Yorkshire Show when the Queen visited in 1957.
